  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Vegetables and Garlic Sauce

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cups fresh spinach
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Optional Ingredients:

  • Mushrooms
  • Zucchini
  • Cauliflower
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Sun-dried tomatoes

Recommended Kitchenware:

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Nonstick cookware sets
  • Silicone spatula
  • Sharp chef’s knife
  • Meal prep containers
  • Premium cookware sets

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

Pat the chicken dry using paper towels.

Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

The seasonings create rich savory flavor while helping the chicken develop beautiful golden color during cooking.

Reliable cooking tools and premium cookware sets improve skillet cooking consistency.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook the chicken pieces for about 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.

The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and keep warm.

Golden seared chicken creates deeper flavor throughout the entire skillet meal.

Step 3: Cook the Broccoli

In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic.

Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add broccoli florets and chicken broth.

Cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the broccoli becomes tender-crisp.

Fresh vegetables from grocery deals and organic food brands create vibrant flavor and texture.

Step 4: Add the Spinach

Stir fresh spinach into the skillet.

Cook until wilted and fully combined with the garlic butter sauce.

The spinach softens beautifully while absorbing the rich garlic flavor.

Durable cookware sets help maintain even heat for perfectly cooked vegetables.

Step 5: Finish and Serve

Return the chicken to the skillet.

Add parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and optional red pepper flakes.

Stir everything together and allow it to heat through for another 2 minutes.

Serve warm garnished with extra parmesan cheese or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Fresh broccoli creates the best texture and flavor.
  • Do not overcook the spinach or it may become too soft.
  • Fresh garlic creates richer flavor than garlic powder alone.
  • Durable cookware sets improve one pan cooking consistency.
  • Store leftovers in airtight meal prep containers for up to 4 days.

Many home kitchen tips recommend cooking broccoli until tender-crisp for the best texture.
