Description

These Tender Chicken Pillows with Creamy Parmesan Sauce are the ultimate comfort food—soft, flaky pastry wrapped around a creamy, savory chicken filling, baked to golden perfection and topped with a rich Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Pillows:

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet.

Step 2:

In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 3:

Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.

Step 4:

Place a spoonful of chicken mixture onto each piece of dough.

Step 5:

Fold and seal the dough around the filling to form “pillows.”

Step 6:

Dip each pillow in melted butter, then coat with breadcrumbs.

Step 7:

Place on baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

Step 8:

Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 9:

Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.

Step 10:

Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth and thickened.

Step 11:

Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 12:

Serve warm chicken pillows topped with creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes

Seal the dough (very tightly) to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
