Description
Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake is a dreamy, no-bake dessert that layers soft cake, creamy pudding, whipped topping, and juicy strawberries into one irresistible treat. It’s called “Heaven on Earth” for a reason—every bite is light, fluffy, and bursting with sweet strawberry flavor combined with a rich, creamy texture that melts in your mouth.
Ingredients
- 1 store-bought angel food cake (or homemade), cut into cubes
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Powdered sugar (optional for dusting)
Instructions
Step 1:
Prepare the vanilla pudding by whisking the instant pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens. Let it sit for 5 minutes to fully set.
Step 2:
In a separate bowl, gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture. Add vanilla extract and sour cream if using, and mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 3:
Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes. In a large trifle dish or baking dish, place half of the cake pieces as the first layer.
Step 4:
Add a layer of sliced strawberries over the cake, followed by half of the creamy pudding mixture. Repeat the layers with remaining cake, strawberries, and pudding mixture.
Step 5:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours to allow the flavors to blend. Before serving, garnish with extra strawberries and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, allow the dessert to chill long enough so the cake absorbs the creamy layers. This softens the texture and enhances flavor. Avoid using overly juicy strawberries without draining them slightly to prevent the dessert from becoming watery.
