Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries
Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly.
Remove the stems and slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces.
Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Cheesecake Pudding
Whisk together the cheesecake pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened.
Let it stand for about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Make the Cream Cheese Mixture
Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until completely smooth and creamy.
Add the prepared cheesecake pudding and mix until combined.
Step 4: Fold in the Whipped Topping
Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.
Mix just until smooth and fluffy.
Avoid overmixing.
Step 5: Prepare the Bananas
Slice the bananas just before assembling the salad.
Toss them gently with fresh lemon juice to help slow browning.
Step 6: Combine Everything
Place the strawberries and bananas in a large serving bowl.
Add the cheesecake mixture.
Gently fold everything together until the fruit is evenly coated.
Step 7: Add Optional Ingredients
Fold in mini marshmallows, chopped pecans, vanilla wafer pieces, or white chocolate chips if desired.
Step 8: Chill
Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes before serving.
Don’t chill for too long if you’ve already added the bananas, as they can soften over time.
Step 9: Garnish
Top with:
- Fresh strawberries
- Banana slices
- Crushed vanilla wafers
- White chocolate shavings
Step 10: Serve
Serve chilled in a large bowl or individual dessert cups.
Notes
For the best texture, make sure the strawberries are completely dry before adding them to the salad. Excess water can thin the cheesecake mixture.
Add the bananas shortly before serving to keep them fresh and prevent them from becoming too soft.
