Description

Pineapple Heaven Cake is a light, creamy, and irresistibly tropical dessert that truly lives up to its name. With layers of sweet pineapple, fluffy whipped topping, creamy cream cheese, and a soft cake or cookie base, this dessert is pure paradise in every bite. It’s the kind of recipe that instantly transports you to a warm, sunny beach with its refreshing pineapple flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Ingredients

Scale

🍍 For the Crust Layer

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla wafer crumbs)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

🍍 Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar)

🍍 Pineapple Layer

  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

🍍 Topping

  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Pineapple chunks or tidbits
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)
  • Toasted coconut flakes (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

In a bowl, mix:

  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Melted butter
  • Sugar

Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.

Chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to set.

Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

Mix until creamy and fluffy.

Fold in whipped topping gently until well combined.

Spread evenly over the chilled crust layer.

Step 3: Prepare the Pineapple Layer

In a separate bowl, mix:

  • Drained crushed pineapple
  • Instant vanilla pudding mix

Stir until thickened and well combined.

Spread the pineapple mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Step 4: Add the Topping

Spread remaining whipped topping over the pineapple layer.

Smooth the surface evenly.

This creates the signature “heavenly” fluffy top layer.

Step 5: Chill and Set

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

This allows the layers to firm up and flavors to blend beautifully.

Before serving, garnish with pineapple chunks, cherries, or toasted coconut.

Notes

  • Drain pineapple well to avoid a watery dessert.
  • Chill long enough for layers to set properly.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.
  • Fold whipped topping gently to keep it airy.
  • Serve cold for best flavor and texture.
  • A glass dish works best for visible layers.
