Banana Bread Brownies are the perfect combination of two beloved homemade treats: classic banana bread and soft, cake-like brownies. These incredibly moist dessert bars are packed with ripe banana flavor, baked until perfectly golden, and finished with a rich brown butter frosting that takes them to an entirely new level of deliciousness.
Ingredients
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl beat together:
- Sugar
- Sour cream
- Butter
- Eggs
until smooth.
Mix in:
- Vanilla extract
- Mashed bananas
Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients
Whisk together:

- Baking soda
- Salt
