Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Toppings:
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Colby Jack or cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken until golden on both sides.
Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice.
Spread honey mustard sauce over each chicken breast.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until tender.
Top chicken with mushrooms and crumbled bacon.
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and cheese is melted.
Serve hot with extra sauce if desired.
