For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, with juice)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Optional Garnish:
- Green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Place the chicken in the baking dish in a single layer.
In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, pineapple (with some juice), honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.
Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, basting occasionally with the sauce.
Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end to caramelize the glaze.
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- Do not overcook chicken to keep it juicy
- Use pineapple juice for extra flavor
- Baste during cooking for richer glaze
- Adjust sweetness by reducing honey
