Ingredients
For the Chicken Bake:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
Optional Topping:
- ½ cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter.
In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each piece of chicken, ensuring full coverage.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
If using a crunchy topping, mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the cheese layer.
Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the top is golden and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
