Ingredients
-
4 cups water
-
4 black tea bags (or use green tea for a lighter version)
-
1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
-
1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
-
1 lemon, sliced
-
1 cup cold water or ice cubes
-
Fresh mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.
While the tea is still warm, stir in honey or sugar until dissolved. This ensures even sweetness throughout.
In a large pitcher, lightly muddle the mixed berries and a few lemon slices to release their juices and natural flavors.
Remove tea bags and pour the sweetened tea over the berries. Add 1 cup of cold water to dilute and cool slightly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors infuse.
Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the berry-infused tea, and garnish with extra berries, lemon slices, and mint.
