  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 6 candy pumpkins (or more, depending on number of servings)
  • Green icing, sour belts, or green licorice for vines (optional)
  • 6 small plastic cups or mason jars

Instructions

  1. Mix Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Let sit for 5 minutes to fully set.
  2. Add Whipped Topping (Optional): For a lighter texture, fold in the whipped topping.
  3. Crush Cookies: Place cookies in a zip-top bag and smash with a rolling pin until fine crumbs.
  4. Layer Dirt Cups: Spoon a layer of pudding into each cup, sprinkle a layer of cookie crumbs, and repeat if using larger cups. Finish with a thick layer of cookie crumbs on top.
  5. Decorate: Press a candy pumpkin into the top of each cup. Use green icing or sour belts to mimic pumpkin vines.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure the pudding is fully set before layering—rushed pudding makes for soggy dirt cups.
