Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or panko
-
2 large eggs
-
2 tablespoons milk
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
-
Optional garnish: chopped parsley, lemon wedges
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound to even thickness. This ensures even cooking.
In one bowl, whisk eggs and milk. In another bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to help the coating stick.
Arrange coated chicken on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Notes
For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-packaged powder. Fresh cheese melts better and creates a richer, crispier crust.
