jack o' lantern brownies

Melted Jack O’ Lantern Brownies for Halloween Fun

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 batch of brownies (boxed mix or homemade), baked and cooled
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • Orange icing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Melted chocolate or black decorating gel (for faces)
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Bake your brownies in a 9×13-inch pan according to package or recipe directions. Let cool completely.
  2. Cut the brownies into 12 squares and transfer them to a parchment-lined tray.
  3. Spray a microwave-safe plate lightly with cooking spray. Place a marshmallow on the plate and microwave for 10–15 seconds until it puffs and begins to melt.
  4. Quickly transfer the melted marshmallow onto a brownie using a fork or spatula. Gently spread it to look like a melting face.
  5. Repeat for all brownies.
  6. Use orange icing to tint the marshmallow “pumpkin” and add color.
  7. Stick candy eyes onto each melted marshmallow.
  8. Use melted chocolate or decorating gel to draw spooky or silly jack o’ lantern faces.
  9. Let the decorations set before serving.

Notes

  • Use different colors of icing for a fun twist—green for zombies, white for ghosts.
  • Add a pinch of pumpkin spice to the brownie batter for a fall flavor.
  • Use jumbo marshmallows for extra gooey effect.
  • Want more drama? Sprinkle edible glitter or crushed cookies on top.
