Ingredients
Scale
- 1 batch of brownies (boxed mix or homemade), baked and cooled
- 12 large marshmallows
- Orange icing (store-bought or homemade)
- Candy eyeballs
- Melted chocolate or black decorating gel (for faces)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
- Bake your brownies in a 9×13-inch pan according to package or recipe directions. Let cool completely.
- Cut the brownies into 12 squares and transfer them to a parchment-lined tray.
- Spray a microwave-safe plate lightly with cooking spray. Place a marshmallow on the plate and microwave for 10–15 seconds until it puffs and begins to melt.
- Quickly transfer the melted marshmallow onto a brownie using a fork or spatula. Gently spread it to look like a melting face.
- Repeat for all brownies.
- Use orange icing to tint the marshmallow “pumpkin” and add color.
- Stick candy eyes onto each melted marshmallow.
- Use melted chocolate or decorating gel to draw spooky or silly jack o’ lantern faces.
- Let the decorations set before serving.
Notes
- Use different colors of icing for a fun twist—green for zombies, white for ghosts.
- Add a pinch of pumpkin spice to the brownie batter for a fall flavor.
- Use jumbo marshmallows for extra gooey effect.
- Want more drama? Sprinkle edible glitter or crushed cookies on top.
