Halal Washington Apple Candy Drops (Apple Cinnamon Treat)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple juice (100% juice, no alcohol)

  • 2 cups apple cider (halal, non-alcoholic)

  • 2 packets (0.25 oz each) unflavored gelatin (halal-certified)

  • 1 box (3 oz) cherry or apple-flavored gelatin (halal)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice

  • ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • Optional: green or red food coloring (halal)


Instructions

Step 1: Bloom the Gelatin

Pour apple juice and apple cider into a large saucepan. Sprinkle unflavored gelatin evenly over the liquid. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

Step 2: Heat the Mixture

Place the saucepan over low heat. Stir gently until the gelatin dissolves completely. Do not boil.

Step 3: Add Flavoring

Add flavored gelatin, sugar, cinnamon powder, and lemon juice. Stir continuously until fully dissolved and smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

Step 4: Color and Pour

Add food coloring if desired. Pour mixture into silicone molds, mini cups, or a parchment-lined pan for cutting later.

Step 5: Chill to Set

 

Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, or until completely firm. Once set, remove from molds or cut into bite-sized drops.

Notes

  • Use halal-certified gelatin only.

  • Keep heat low to avoid breaking down gelatin.

  • Do not boil or candies won’t set properly.

 

  • Silicone molds release candies easily.
