Crescent Roll Witch Hats for a Fun Halloween Treat

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate frosting or melted chocolate (for decorating)
  • Halloween sprinkles or candy stars (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Place a few chocolate chips at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll each triangle up into a loose cone, starting at the wide end and shaping into a hat with a pointed tip.
  5. Gently curve the tip to one side to give the “hat” a whimsical bend.
  6. Place the shaped hats on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter if using.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then decorate with chocolate frosting to form hat bands or buckles.
  10. Add sprinkles, candy stars, or a light dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Try Nutella, peanut butter, or mini marshmallows as fillings.
  • Make them savory by stuffing with cheese and herbs.
  • Let kids add their own sprinkles or candies for extra fun.
  • Serve warm for maximum gooey goodness.
