Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza Made with Crescent Rolls

  • Author: amys recipes

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Pizza Base:

  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Simple Sweet Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 12 tbsp milk or cream

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crescent Dough

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out the crescent dough onto a sheet of parchment-lined baking pan. Press the seams together to form one solid sheet, creating your “pizza crust.”

Step 2: Brush with Melted Butter

Use a pastry brush to coat the entire surface of the dough with melted butter. This helps the cinnamon sugar adhere while creating a soft, golden-brown finish.

Step 3: Add the Cinnamon-Sugar Layer

In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly across the top of the buttered dough, covering edge to edge.

Step 4: Bake the Pizza

Place the pan in the oven and bake for 10–14 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed, golden, and lightly crisp around the edges.

Step 5: Drizzle with Glaze

Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together until smooth. Drizzle over the warm pizza. Slice and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Be sure to seal the crescent seams well. If not, the dough may separate while baking. For the crispiest bottom, bake on the lower oven rack.
