Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 cup sour cream
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing dish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, combine sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth.
Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
Bake uncovered for 25–35 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
For a golden crust, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of cooking.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
-
Use room-temperature sour cream for easier mixing.
-
Pound chicken evenly for consistent cooking.
-
Avoid overbaking to keep chicken tender.
-
Use freshly shredded cheese for best melt.
